RNA (ribonucleic acid) is a nucleic acid found inside cells where it plays a fundamental role in protein synthesis and cellular function. Nucleic acids are made up of smaller parts called nucleotides, which are important nutritional components, especially during early development.

Upon ingestion, RNA will be broken down into component nucleotides in the stomach and small intestine. Those components can then be absorbed and used by the body for nutritional needs.^1-3 Some preclinical evidence suggests dietary RNA supplementation may modulate some aspects of immune function and a healthy inflammatory response.^4,5
